ROY — A Walgreens pharmacy was robbed of one bottle of OxyContin Tuesday night when an anonymous person called and said his friend was inside the pharmacy with a gun, police said.
The anonymous caller told the pharmacy at 5554 S. 1900 West to place all their OxyContin pills in the drive-through receptacle, Roy police said. Pharmacy workers placed one bottle in the receptacle, which was taken sometime around 9:40 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they checked the three people shopping inside the store for weapons but found nothing, said Roy police officer Ken Carpenter.
Police said there are no surveillance videos outside and are trying to look at the inside cameras. The incident is still under investigation.
