WAILUA, Hawaii — A body found above Secret Falls in the Wailua Valley on Kaua'i has been tentatively identified as Ryan Soper, 26, of Orem, who went missing while hiking in the area last Thursday.
A news release from the Kaua'i Police Department said officers, assisted by a Honolulu Police Department Special Services Division, including a team of two search dogs, their handlers and a supervisor began a search of the area on Wednesday about 8 a.m. The body was found about noon with the assistance of visitors also hiking in the area.
The tentative identification was based on the clothing description provided by family members. No other information was available at press time.
