FREE SHOOTING CLINICS MAY 1
SALT LAKE CITY — The Division of Wildlife Resources is offering three free shooting clinics on May 1.
Each clinic is limited to the first 20 people who sign up for that clinic, so early registration is encouraged.
Clinics will focus on basic shotgun shooting techniques, including shooting at flying clay targets at a shooting range; bow shooting, which will offer information on bows, arrows and the latest archery equipment, after which participants will shoot arrows at a variety of targets; and a shooting range clinic, in which participants will learn basic firearm safety, including how to identify and unload various types of firearms, plus information on how shooting ranges operate and basic procedures to follow, with a chance to shoot on the range.
The clinics will be held at the same time — from 9 a.m. until noon.
Registration is available by contacting RaLynne Takeda at 801-538-4753 or by e-mail at ralynnetakeda@utah.gov.
The clinics will be held at the DWR's Lee Kay Public Shooting Range, 6000 W. 2100 South in Salt Lake City.
