SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah basketball team has added another junior college transfer with the signing of Will Clyburn, a 6-foot-6 wing player from Marshalltown Community College in Iowa.

Utah coach Jim Boylen call's Clyburn "a talented player," who will bring "length and athleticism" to a Ute team that needs improvement on the offensive end. Clyburn averaged 19 points and eight rebounds per game and scored 54 points in a game against Southeastern Iowa last season.

"Much of the credit for Will's commitment goes to our team," Boylen said. "He built relationships with our players on his official visit, saw their dedication and belief in what we are building, and he wanted to become part of it."

Clyburn, who will be a junior, led the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) in scoring and rebounding both his freshman and sophomore years. He was considering Saint Louis and Iowa State among other schools.

"My decision to come to Utah came down to my visit," said Clyburn. "I believed in what coach Boylen was telling me, the team had great chemistry and I am really excited to be a part of that."

Clyburn joins Antonio DiMaria, a 6-6 wing player from Casper CC, who signed last week. The Utes are still recruiting Josh Watkins, a point guard from Howard CC in Texas, and Nick Thompson, a 6-8 forward from the College of Eastern Utah, who both made official visits last weekend. Watkins, the MVP in last month's NJCAA Tournament, is reportedly making a visit to Cincinnati this weekend.
