POWELL, Wyo. — The Northwest College Board of Trustees has approved a contract extension for President Paul Prestwich to keep him at the school through the 2011-12 school year.
The board voted in February to extend the contract and voted this week to approve details of the contract ironed out between Prestwich and board President Jim Vogt.
Prestwich angered some on campus in February when he sent recruitment letters on college letterhead to Mormon teens in Wyoming.
Vogt says he supports Prestwich and lauded the college's recent enrollment increases. Vogt says Prestwich has acknowledged the Mormon letter was a mistake, and it's time to move forward.
Prestwich joined the college in summer 2008. His new contract includes an annual salary of $153,900, the same as he's making this year.
