LEHI — Thanksgiving Point is welcoming spring with 250,000 tulips at its annual Tulip Festival.
The 100 tulip varieties in 70 colors are in bloom at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens in 15 different themed areas throughout the 55-acre park.
The festival, which got under way Friday and runs through May 1, will feature activities such as:
Garden education classes at 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday; and 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday.
Guided garden tours, at noon Monday-Friday and noon and 3 p.m. Saturday.
Live music Friday and Saturdays.
Crafts and food at the Waterfall Amphitheater.
Guest photo contest, with the winning garden photo appearing in the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune.

A cultural celebration on Dutch Day at the gardens on April 24.
The Tulip Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the gardens. Cost is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $6 for children ages 3-12. Entry is free for members. Thanksgiving Point is closed on Sunday.
