OREM — Five Utah police officers will take part in May in the Police Unity Tour, a 340-mile bike ride from New Jersey to Washington, D.C., to honor fallen officers.
Four Orem officers — Sgt. Randy Crowther, Sgt. Gordon Smith, Sgt. Josh Adams and officer Greg Olney — will ride in memory of Adams' brother, Joe Adams, who was killed on duty in Lehi in 2001. Officer Cade Veigel of North Salt Lake will ride for Charles Skinner, who was killed in 2008.
Anyone who would like to support the officers can send a donation to Sgt. Crowther at the Orem Department of Public Safety, 95 E. Center, Orem, UT 84057.
