OAKLAND, Calif. — Jazz starting power forward Carlos Boozer exited Wednesday's game with Golden State midway through the second quarter and did not return.

Boozer has a muscle strain in his right rib cage. X-rays taken at halftime were negative, a Jazz spokesman said. He plans to have an MRI today.

At press time there was no word on Boozer's status for tonight's regular-season home finale against Phoenix, or for the start of the NBA playoffs.
