OAKLAND, Calif. — Jazz starting center Mehmet Okur will return from injury tonight, but starting small forward Andrei Kirilenko will not.
Kirilenko said after today's morning shootaround here that he's still not ready to play because of the strained left calf that's sidelined him for most of a month and kept him out of 13 of Utah's last 15 games.
"I wanted to play," Kirilenko said, "but, you know, as long as it's not ready I don't want to give it a chance."
Okur said he will be back after missing one game due to tendinitis in his left Achilles.
Backup C.J. Miles again will start in Kirilenko's place tonight, when the Jazz visit Golden State in the final road game of the 2009-10 NBA regular season.
Kirilenko said he did not know if he'd play Wednesday night, when the Jazz play host to Phoenix in a regular-season finale that will determine their seed position for the upcoming Western Conference playoffs.
Heading into tonight's games, the Jazz still can finish anywhere from second to fifth in the West — and their possible playoff opponents are Phoenix, San Antonio, Portland and Northwest Division-leading Denver.
Dallas and Oklahoma City no longer are possible first-round postseason opponents for the Jazz, who haven't played since winning Friday night at New Orleans.
