DUCHESNE — Prosecutors say a Price woman joined her boyfriend in sexually abusing her own 12-year-old daughter.
The woman, 28, is charged in 8th District Court with two counts of sodomy on a child, two counts of sexual abuse of a child and one count of object rape of a child. The charges are all first-degree felonies. She also faces one count of child abuse, a class A misdemeanor.
"During (an) investigation, some information was uncovered that the victim's mother knew about" abuse between the girl and the woman's 26-year-old boyfriend, Duchesne County Sheriff's Sgt. Wade Butterfield said. "And not only knew about it, but actively participated in numerous sex acts on her daughter."
In some instances, the woman would have sex with her boyfriend at the same time he was performing sex acts on her daughter, the sergeant said.
Prosecutors charged the boyfriend, 26, in January with six counts of rape of a child, a first-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled to begin Aug. 30.
The woman and her boyfriend, who have both denied the allegations, are both in the Duchesne County Jail.
