Actor Marchiano set to speak at Calvary Chapel
Bruce Marchiano, Hollywood actor, author and evangelist, will speak in Salt Lake City today and Sunday at Calvary Chapel of Salt Lake, 460 W. Century Drive (4350 S.).
Marchiano appeared in "L.A. Law," "Murder She Wrote," "Columbo" and many other popular TV shows before playing Jesus in a cable TV movie. This experience catapulted him into a career as an evangelist. He has toured with Christian music stars Michael W. Smith, Sandi Patti, Twila Paris and Larnell Harris.
Marchiano will speak today at 6 p.m. on the topic "I Know the Plans I Have for You."
On Sunday, April 11, he will speak at three services — 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. — on the topic, "Let Us Fix Our Eyes on Jesus."

Madeleine School may add 2nd kindergarten
SALT LAKE CITY — The Madeleine Choir School is considering the addition of a second kindergarten class for the 2010-11 school year. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply. Religious leaders ask senators to back START
Eleven Utah religious leaders from different faith communities have expressed their hope for a safer world by signing a letter to Utah's two senators encouraging them to "publicly support and vote in favor of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty" (START). As the letter affirms, "All of our denominations oppose the use of nuclear weapons." The treaty was signed Thursday, by the presidents of the United States and Russia and must be approved by the U.S. Senate and the Russian Parliament.
