SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced the booking of the 2012 annual meeting for NAC International, originally known as the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
The event will be in March 2012 at the Salt Palace Convention Center and is expected to attract about 6,000 attendees and generate more than $5.5 million in direct spending.
The association originally selected Seattle for the 2012 event but switched to Salt Lake after concluding that Seattle's convention space was not an ideal fit, the bureau said. Salt Lake won out over Phoenix and St. Louis after the host city search was reopened.
