Two Utah offices of the Internal Revenue Service will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, to help taxpayers.
This year, the IRS hopes to help taxpayers understand issues related to their tax returns, including various tax credits that are new as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Staff will be available to address economic hardship issues and help make payment arrangements, as well.
This Saturday's extended hours apply to the Ogden IRS office, 324 25th St., and the Salt Lake office, 50 S. 200 East. To find the hours of one of the community partner programs that also provides tax preparation assistance and to learn their hours and what you need to do to qualify, call 1-800-906-9887.
