NATURE CENTER PLANS CAMPS
OGDEN — The Ogden Nature Center is offering weeklong day camps, with one night under the stars, several single-day adventures and a family camp-out for all ages.
There will also be openings for camp assistants.
The first camps will begin in June. Among those being offered will be the weeklong Wild Things Camp, June 21-25, which will explore the 152-acre nature preserve; the Creepy Crawly Critters Camp, July 12-16, that will investigate the flying, crawling and slithering creatures; and the Stories From Utah's Past Camp, July 26-30, which will teach about the first people and explorers to Utah.
There will also be a series of day camps on subjects such as animals that burrow in the soil, wildlife art and animals that are alien to the center.

SKI CLASSIC SET SATURDAY
SNOWBIRD — The 24th annual Steve Young Ski Classic will be Saturday at Snowbird.
The event rises money and awareness for the Wasatch Adaptive Sports Program.
Among those skiing will be former NFL players Lee Johnson, Chad Lewis, Shawn Knight, Rob Morris, Junior Bryant and Jim Herrmann, as well as Utah football coach Kyle Whittingham and other professional athletes. The cast of Olympians and Paralympians competing will be Tanja Kari, Lincoln DeWitt, Tristan Gale and Muffy Davis.
Racing will begin at 10 a.m.
There will be an evening fund-raiser at the Cliff Lodge beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction and reception. Dinner, awards and the participant program begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a live auction.

SKI RESORT EXTENDS HOURS
PARK CITY — Beginning Friday, The Canyons Resort will extend weekend skiing and snowboarding by one hour on select lifts.
Skiers and snowboarders will be able to load on the High Meadow, Saddleback Express and Flight of The Canyons gondola until 5 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until the resort closes on April 11.
The Adventure Park off Saddleback will also remain open until 5 p.m.
