Salt Lake Art Center is hosting Alexandra Grant, a prominent Los Angeles-area painter, who will give a presentation entitled "Image/Text," focusing on her practice as a working artist and also on her role as the founding board president of the historic Watts House Project, March 22, 6:30 p.m., at 20 S. The Fine Arts Center, 58 S. 100 West, Brigham City, is hosting a series of spring classes beginning the week of March 22 and continuing through April. Subjects include basic youth drawing ages 9-12; teen drawing for ages 13 and older; arts and crafts classes for students grades 1-5; and basic to intermediate drawing for high schoolers and adults. A minimum of six students is needed for classes to run. Cost of each class ranges from $32 to $45. Register by calling 435-723-0740.

Community Nursing Services Home Health & Hospice will host the 22nd Annual Celebration of Art & Soup, showcasing Salt Lake City's premier artists and chefs. Art Access/VSA arts of Utah announces its 10th Annual Art Workshop Series for Adults, "Pop Surrealist Landscape," March 27, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Each workshop includes art supplies and a boxed lunch for a $50 fee. The Utah Division of Arts & Museums' Public Art Program, in collaboration with Utah State University Uintah Basin, Vernal and the Division of Facilities Construction and Management, announces a call for artist qualifications for the creation of site-specific public art as part of the new Bingham Entrepreneurship and Energy Research Center at the new campus in Vernal.
