Stage auditions

"110 in The Shade," March 23 and 25, by appointment only, Hale Center Theater Orem, 225 W. 400 North, Orem.

Auditioners will sing 16 bars of a classic musical theater piece. Bring your own sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Needed are men ages 20-60 and women ages 20-40, of all ethnicities.

The first two weeks of the run will be a special fundraising event. During that time, Lizzie and Starbuck will be played by four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald and Tony nominee Will Swenson. Actors cast to play the leads, after the initial two weeks, will be in the ensemble during the fundraiser.

Shows dates are June 28-Aug. 7, directed by David Tinney.

"The Wedding Singer," March 27, 9 a.m.-noon, Hale Centre Theatre, 3333 S. Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City.

Prepare 30 seconds of an upbeat song in the style of the show. For men, the music director needs to hear top range in a belted or pop style. For women, lyrical and pop styles. Please bring two songs contrasting in style. An accompanist will be provided; bring your sheet music. No a cappella auditions and no taped music. Please also bring a photo and résumé.

"Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," March 23 and 24, 6:30-9:30 p.m., Sugar Factory Playhouse, 8201 S. 2200 West, West Jordan.

Prepare 16 bars of a showtune and come ready to learn a short dance combination. Ages 16 and older are welcome to audition. All roles are open.

"Broadway Baby," March 23, 6-8 p.m., Midvale Main Street Theatre, 7711 Main, Midvale.

Looking for children ages 5-13 for this Broadway revue. Please bring 16 bars of an upbeat song. Call 801-259-8781 for more information.

"Annie," March 27, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., The Empress Theatre, 9104 W. 2700 South, Magna.

Actors will sing 16 bars of an upbeat musical number. Minus tracks are acceptable, but no a cappella singing. An accompanist will be provided; you may also bring your own.

Come dressed for movement and bring a head shot and resume. All roles are open.
