SALT LAKE CITY — A Thursday pretrial conference hearing for former Utah Senate Majority Leader Sheldon Killpack, who is facing a DUI charge, has been rescheduled for April 12.

Killpack, 41, was arrested Jan. 15 and was charged in Salt Lake County Justice Court with driving under the influence, a class B misdemeanor, and failure to signal, a class C misdemeanor.

Killpack resigned from the Legislature the day after the incident because he said he did not want to be a "distraction" during the legislative session. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
