KSL (AM-1160/FM-102.7) overtook sister station KSFI ("FM-100") as the most-listened-to Salt Lake radio station during the month of January.
New Arbitron rankings, the second based on the Portable People Meter, give KSL a 9.2 percent audience share to KSFI's 6.9.
During December, KSFI had been No. 1 with a 10.8 percent share. The station was bolstered with holiday music offerings, while KSL in January was likely boosted by its coverage of the earthquake in Haiti.
These ratings estimates are for ages 6 and up, Monday-Sunday, 6 a.m.-midnight.
(Note: These ratings also include distant stations in places like Park City and Sanpete County, as well as some Internet stations, too.)
In the latest ratings, KUBL (FM-93.3) came in third at 5.4, followed by KODJ (FM-94.1), 5.0; KXRK ("X-96"); and KJMY (FM-99.5), 4.5 percent.
Rounding out the top 10 were: 7. KUDD (FM-107.9), 4.4; 8. (tie) KNRS (FM-105.7) and KOSY (FM-106.5), 3.8; and 10. KSOP (FM-104.3), 3.6.

(tie) KACP and KCPW-FM , 0.4; 36. KSFI's streaming signal, 0.3; 37. (tie) KBJA-AM, KLO-AM, KSOP-AM, KTKK-AM and KTUB-AM, 0.2; 42. (tie) KJQS-AM, KLGL, KMGR and KSL-FM's streaming signal, 0.1.
RADIO HAPPENINGS — Bob Lonsberry, weekday (5-9 a.m.) host on KNRS, celebrated his 10th anniversary on the Salt Lake airwaves earlier this month. He also does a midday show for WHAM radio in Rochester, N.Y.
KSL radio raised $449,498 during its 34th annual Radiothon to benefit Primary Children's Medical Center. That brings the station's ongoing total to more than $7.6 million.
"Johnson and Johnson" on KUBL staged their annual "Jell-O Jump" competition on St. Patrick's Day.
KBYU will air selections from a concert, "Sounds for Hope," March 22-26, at 3 p.m. each day. The concert was originally presented on March 6 by The Gifted Music School Orchestra benefiting the Friends of the Salt Lake County Children's Justice Center.
Ryan Seacrest's "American Top 40" show airs Sunday, 8 p.m.-midnight on KBEE 98.7 FM.
