PROVO? — Residents who want to serve on one of Provo's 12 boards and commissions can nominate themselves at www.provo.org.
Putting nominations online for service on city boards and commissions was one of Mayor John Curtis' goals for his first 100 days in office.
Board members are appointed by the mayor and usually serve terms of two or three years.
The city currently has vacancies on the airport board, Business Development Corp. and Civil Service Commission.
