MILWAUKEE — Jazz backup point guard Ronnie Price will not play at Milwaukee tonight due to a bruised right wrist sustained in Wednesday night's win at Detroit.

Price was hurt trying to help break his fall on a dunk-and-foul play during a decisive second-quarter run against the Pistons.

X-rays taken of the wrist at halftime of Wednesday's game were negative.

Price initially thought he'd be able to go tonight, but could not.

Rookie No. 3 point guard Sundiata Gaines will assume Price's backup minutes behind starter Deron Williams.

Price said his status for Sunday's game at Oklahoma City, the last outing in a four-stop Jazz road trip, is uncertain.
