Utah senior linebacker Nai Fotu tore his ACL in practice Thursday and will miss the 2010 season. It is the same injury to his left knee that Fotu suffered in the final regular season game of 2008. After recovering from that surgery, he returned to action last fall, when he backed up at defensive end. Fotu, who was scheduled to start at linebacker this year (as he did as a sophomore in 2008), has a redshirt year available and anticipates returning in 2011. He has played in 38 of Utah's 39 games in the last three years-missing the Sugar Bowl after first injuring the knee against BYU in 2008.
