SOFTBALL: The Thunderbirds' 2010 softball home-opener has been moved to the Dixie State College field because of snow at Kathryn Berg Field in Cedar City.

Southern Utah hosts South Dakota State for a three-game series in the Summit League opener for both teams.

Game times are the same as originally scheduled. The teams meet in a doubleheader today with the first game starting at 1 p.m. and the second at 3 p.m.

Saturday play features a single game, with first pitch scheduled at noon.

All games will be played at the Dixie State softball complex on the campus of Dixie State College of Utah in St. George.
