"Astro Boy" (Summit, $26.99) — ★★An animated feature cobbled together from parts of earlier, better movies. Freddie Highmore voices the title character.

"Bandslam" (Summit, $25.99) — ★★ This musical comedy for teens takes itself a little too seriously.

"Broken Embraces" (Sony, $28.96) — ★★½ — Penelope Cruz is terrific, but this is not one of Pedro Almodovar's better films. Spanish with subtitles.

"Did You Hear About the Morgans?" (Sony, $28.95) —½ — One of the most surprising comedy duds of the year. Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker star.
