SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Zion National Park in southern Utah is awakening from winter slumber.

Superintendent Jock Whitworth says the Zion Human History Museum and a bookstore opened Saturday.

In addition, the park's horse concessioner, Canyon Trail Rides, resumed offering one- and three-hour rides.

This Saturday, the park's South Campground with 126 sites will open next Saturday.

Watchman Campground has been open all winter, but campers now have to reserve a site there. It was open on a first-come, first service basis for the winter.
