SALT LAKE CITY — Sunday is the deadline for applying for Grow Utah Ventures' second Southern Utah "Concept to Company" contest.
The 2010 General Technology "Concept to Company" competition focuses on new products or service ideas in the tech industry. The main objective is to encourage and support entrepreneurial innovators with the intent of helping them turn their concepts into a company.
The contest is open to any Utah-based business or entrepreneur, but special preference will be given to southern Utah-based businesses and entrepreneurs.
Eight to 10 finalists will be selected to present their innovations to a panel of judges. The finalists will then present their ideas to the judges April 9. Three winners will be announced, and awards will be presented later that day.
Details are at www.concepttocompany.org.
This is the seventh "Concept to Company" Contest sponsored by Grow Utah Ventures. Each is held in a different geographic region of Utah and focuses on industry strengths particular to each area.
