Mitt Romney says Obama is 'Scapegoating' health insurers
Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said President Barack Obama is "scapegoating" insurance companies after failing to get health-care legislation passed in Congress.
"It's something he is fond to do once one of his programs gets in trouble," Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, said on the "Fox News Sunday" program today.
Obama, a Democrat, is pushing Congress to approve the most sweeping U.S. health-care legislation in more than four decades. Republican lawmakers are unified against the plan and have urged Democrats to start the process over.
Romney, who lost the 2008 Republican nomination to Senator John McCain of Arizona, said he hasn't decided whether to run for president in 2012. Romney, 62, said he won't have to make a decision until after this year's congressional elections.
"I don't really have the pros and cons laid out yet," he said. "It's something we won't have to decide until after the November elections."
