OGDEN — Byron S. Burnett has been named the 25th postmaster of Ogden.
As postmaster, Burnett is responsible for all delivery and retail operations in the Ogden area, which includes 207 employees; four retail stations, branches and carrier units; and 75,409 addresses served by more than 109 delivery routes.
Burnett replaces former Ogden Postmaster Robert W. Johnson, who retired in December 2009.
Excellent mail service and customer satisfaction are high priorities for Burnett.
"We want every postal transaction to be a satisfying one for our customers," Burnett said. "I am anxious to work with a great group of employees who are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers."
Most recently, Burnett was manager of customer service operations at the Salt Lake post office.
