SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man has died from injuries suffered in a crash Monday on Main Street.
The 52-year-old South Salt Lake man was driving a car that was broadsided by a pickup truck at the intersection of Main Street and 3530 South, said South Salt Lake detective Gary Keller.
The man in the car survived the crash but later died at an area hospital, Keller said. Police are not releasing the victim's name until his extended family can be contacted.
The driver of the truck, a 50 year-old South Salt Lake man, was also taken to an area hospital in critical condition. He was later upgraded to stable condition, Keller said.
Authorities believe the driver of the truck failed to obey a stop sign, Keller said, but no charges have been filed. The crash, which involved a third vehicle whose driver suffered minor injuries, is under investigation.
