PROVO — A 21-year-old Payson man was arrested Thursday after police say he tried coercing what he thought was a 15-year-old girl online to meet him in an abandoned house for sex.
The man was instead chatting with a police officer posing as a teenage girl, according to an affidavit filed in Provo's 4th District Court. Police say the man was told twice that he was chatting with a minor yet he still asked her to meet him at an abandoned house above Seven Peaks water park in Provo. He also mentioned the kind of car he would be driving, the affidavit states.
When he arrived, police stopped him and transported him to a police station for questioning. Police say he told them he had planned to coerce the girl, the affidavit states. Jesus Aguilar Jr. was arrested for investigation of enticement of a minor and forcible sodomy.
