A century of Scouts honored

Gov. Gary Herbert signs a proclamation while commemorating the 100-year anniversary of Scouting in America in the Capitol on Thursday. Of the record-high 52,407 Eagle Scout awards earned in the United States during 2009, 5,640 of them — almost 10.8 percent — came from the Beehive State.
