OGDEN — A man with clown eyes and mouth tattooed on his face is being sought by police in connection with a home burglary.

A man told officers he was sleeping in his home in the 400 block of 21st Street about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when he awakened to find two men standing over him, said Ogden Police Lt. Scott Sangberg.

The man said the pair told him they were police officers, then threw a blanket over him and stole his Dell computer before fleeing on foot, Sangberg said.

"He said he recognized one of (the men)," the lieutenant said. "He said he thinks one of them is 'Happy.' "

"Happy" is the street name for 43-year-old Tony Alexander Pete, according to Sangberg, who is known to police because he "has clown eyes and a smile tattooed on his face."

Police are searching for Pete and an unknown Hispanic male for investigation of burglary and theft. Anyone with information on Pete's whereabouts should call the Ogden Police Department at 801-629-8221.
