The following DVDs will be released Tuesday, unless otherwise specified:

"The Box" (Warner, $28.98) — ★ — This science-fiction thriller provokes unintentional laughs. Cameron Diaz and James Marsden star.

"Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant" (Universal, $29.98) — ★★ — A confused mess, based on the best-selling fantasy novel.

PG-13 (violence, profanity, slurs, vulgarity, brief drugs)

"The Damned United" (Sony, $28.96) — ★★★½ — A most entertaining study in obsession wrapped in a traditional sports movie.

R (profanity) — Roger Moore, The Orlando Sentinel

"Dead Snow" (MPI, $24.98) — Norwegian horror comedy about skiers menaced by undead Nazis. Norwegian with subtitles.

Not rated, probable R (violence, gore, profanity, slurs)

"Everybody's Fine" (Miramax, $29.99) — ★★ — The performances are the only things that are fine in this cliched comedy-drama.

PG-13 (profanity, drugs, vulgarity, slurs, nude art, violence)

"The Informant!" (Warner, $28.98) — ★★½ — The fact-based, '80s-period comedy-drama is too talky. Matt Damon stars.

R (profanity, vulgarity, slurs, brief drugs)

"Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths" (Warner, $19.98) — Direct-to-DVD animated feature, starring the popular DC Comics characters.

Special features: Two-disc special edition ($24.98) features behind-the-scenes minidocumentary, additional "Justice League Unlimited" cartoons.

"Motherhood" (National Entertainment Media, $24.98) — ★ — An argument against procreation. Uma Thurman stars.

"The September Issue" (Lionsgate, $29.98) — ★★★ — An interesting, fashion-centric documentary about Vogue magazine editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
