The energy tax, which is part of the spending bill just passed by the Democrats in Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama, is a very bad idea. It is a further reflection of the combined ignorance and arrogance of Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. We are in the middle of a major recession and these people are raising taxes on everyone? Does this make sense?
A tax on energy will be passed along to the consumer at every turn in the road. It will cause protracted inflation throughout the economy. It will hit homeowners, car owners, truck owners and every conceivable business, school building and school district. We are in the most serious recession since the Great Depression, and this is the best the Obama administration can come up with?
