Caputo's By Night has opened at Tony Caputo's Market and Deli, 314 W. 300 South. The deli's seating area will turn into full-service, white tablecloth dining, Tuesday-Saturday, from 5-9 p.m. Hot Italian dishes such as penne arrabbiata and chicken parmigiana will be served, as well as sandwiches and salads 801-531-TONY).

Buca di Beppo restaurants launched new menu items last week. They are Chicken Pesto Pizza, Four Cheese Pizza, Veggie Pizza, Supremo Italiano Pizza, Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, Saltimbocca, and Chicken Cacciatore (www.bucadibeppo.com).

Tuscany, 2832 E. 6200 South, now has lighted dinner menus. When the menus are opened, the background automatically lights up, enabling customers to read the dish descriptions in a dimly lit room. According to partner Mark Eaton, the menus are battery-operated, and recharged in special stands every night. The new menus were initiated by the restaurant's new partner, Guy Wadsworth.

Harmons Grocery Stores raised $46,270 for the relief of Haiti earthquake victims. The Utah stores accepted donations at its check stands through Feb. 7 which totaled $36,270. Harmons then donated an additional $10,000. The money is going to the American Red Cross Greater Salt Lake Chapter, which will be earmarked for the International Response Fund for Haiti.

Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill will open its seventh location in Utah Feb. 18, in the University Festival Shopping Center, 530 E. University Parkway in Orem. In celebration, Rubio's will host a fund-raiser Feb. 17, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., to benefit Friday's Kids Respite. The public can enjoy the restaurant's cuisine for a donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under (www.rubios.com).

The Grand Lodge at Brian Head, 314 Hunter Ridge Drive in Brian Head, is hosting a grand opening Feb. 19-20 that features Dutch oven cooking, wood carving and saddle making, live music, a snowman building contest, a billiards tournament and an art show (grandlodgebrianhead.com)

The Pillsbury Easy Frost No-Fuss Frosting Challenge is offering home cooks a chance to win $10,000. Entries will be judged on creativity, easy or technique and appearance. Deadline is Feb. 19. Details are at www.pillsburybaking.com.

Johnniebeefs, 7194 S. Union Park Ave., is celebrating its third anniversary Feb. 19. The quick-service restaurant is contributing 5 percent of its total sales to the Red Cross's Haitian Relief Fund.
