SANDY — A SWAT team found drugs and weapons in a home here Thursday night.
Officers served a search warrant at a house at 9104 S. 300 East, where investigators had developed information about possible drug activity. Because there was also information that the person inside might be armed, a SWAT team was used to serve the warrant.
The team entered about 10:30 p.m. Three firearms and some cocaine were found inside, said Sandy Police Sgt. Troy Arnold.
Juan Carlos Banos, 33, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of possession of firearms by a restricted person and drug distribution with an enhancement for having drugs close to a school.
