In regards to the article "Lancet retracts autism report" (Feb. 3), information in this article is misleading. Lancet retracted the interpretation of the findings. Dr. Andrew Wakefield is a well respected and well-published gastroenterologist. His study did not conclude that the MMR vaccine is the primary cause of autism, but a contributor.
We can be self-reliant by feeding our families the kinds of food and drink that prevent illnesses such as autism, measles, mumps, etc. Real foods like raw milk, raw eggs, good saturated fats and properly prepared whole grains are a part of the answer.
