It seems to me that most aligned with the "Tea Party" are hypocritical. They want to curb spending and stop the advance of "socialism" in our country but are apparently unwilling to confront the real problem. The real problem is entitlements such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. My guess is that a significant number of those in the Tea Party movement are recipients of one or more of these entitlements.
They have contempt for those who supported the stimulus package, but Henry Paulson, the Bush administration's secretary of the treasury, said that without the "bailouts," the unemployment in our country would minimally be 25 percent. The reality seems to be that most in this country do not have the will to make the personal sacrifices necessary to curb or correct our national debt problem for the collective good of the nation. In my opinion, most in the Tea Party movement, and others who lament the dreadful state of our national economy, are hypocrites.
