Utah Jazz power forward Carlos Boozer has been diagnosed as having a "moderate strain of his right calf" and will not play in tonight's home game against the Sacramento Kings.
The Jazz this morning said Boozer will be re-evaluated Monday and his status beyond tonight is uncertain.
"Not as bad as it could have been," said Boozer, who left today's morning shoot-around in a utility cart driven by a team trainer.
Boozer had crutches with him. "They don't want him to put any weight on it," Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor said.
Boozer, Utah's leading scoring this season, strained the calf druing the second half of the Jazz's win over Portland on Wednesday.
