Utah Jazz: Early turnovers made things extremely difficult for Jazz

Sloan said Boozer must do a little better but didn't seem worried about it. "They're going to come and guard him, and he's got to be able to get the ball out. You can't force the ball up through two or three people. He'll be fine."

"I think everybody has to work a little bit harder and adjust a little bit more to the type of team we're playing," said Sloan said.

PULLING SHIRTS: The Jazz have to do a better job defending — and not just defending Kobe Bryant but his teammates as well. They were a little lazy at it Sunday.

"We got lost so many times running back down the floor leaving guys open, two guys ran to the same guy," Sloan said.

"The other thing is, we can't hold and grab them as much. We got four or five fouls trying to pull guys' uniforms off. That shouldn't happen in a ballgame."

JUST OFF: Williams said the Lakers didn't do anything to throw his shot off. It was just off. "Not really. I just missed shots. Just didn't go. I just missed shots," he said Monday. "I don't expect to go 5-for-18 again. I'm ready for the next one."

IT'S COMING: Boozer has had only one 20-point game since the playoffs began — the first one, when he scored 20 and had his 2008 playoff-high of 16 rebounds as well in the 93-82 win at Houston April 19. He had 19 and 10 at Houston April 29 in the 95-69 Game 5 loss, but has otherwise had no more than 15 points.

"It's coming. It's coming," he said of his next big game. In March, for example, 10 of 16 games saw him score 20 or more, including totals of 41, 34, 28 twice, 26, 25, 24 and 23 three times. "I stay out of foul trouble, it would have happened yesterday," he said of Game 1 at Los Angeles. "I'm not worried about it. It's going to happen."
