FOXBOROUGH, Mass. John Thorrington and Stephen King scored goals in the second half and the Chicago Fire beat the New England Revolution 3-0 in Major League Soccer action Saturday.
Chicago (4-1-1) took the lead on Chris Rolfe's goal in the 29th minute. Thorrington scored his third goal in the past two matches in the 50th minute, with a drive to the lower right corner past New England goalie Matt Reis. King, who came on in the second half, scored in the 76th minute.
New England (3-3-1) has yet to score in two matches against the Fire this season, losing 4-0 in Chicago on April 3.
Jon Busch, who leads the MLS with a 0.60 goals against average, earned his third shutout of the season with six saves.
Chicago has not allowed more than one goal in any of its matches this season.
CREW 2, WIZARDS 1: At Columbus, Ohio, Adam Moffat and Robbie Rogers scored to give Columbus its best-ever start to a season with a win over Kansas City.
Moffat's goal came in the 4th minute, when Columbus forward Guillermo Barros Schelotto floated a free kick to the far side of the penalty area. Crew defender Chad Marshall headed the ball back into Moffat's path, and he jumped over a defender to net his second goal of the season.
The Crew improved to a league-best 5-1-0.
Kansas City's Claudio Lopez scored on a penalty kick in the 79th minute, after Geiger ruled Danny O'Rourke had fouled Wizards forward Scott Sealy as the two fought for the ball inside the penalty area.
CHIVAS USA 0, DYNAMO 0: At Houston, Chivas USA's Brad Guzan had five saves and Houston's Pat Onstad made three as the two teams played to a scoreless tie.
Before the game, Houston received its championship rings for winning the MLS Cup Championship. The two teams, who entered the game first and second in the league in fouls, tied the MLS season-high with eight yellow cards and one red card.
Referee Jozef Batko whistled four yellows on Houston (0-2-4) and four yellows and a red on Chivas USA (1-3-2).
