A motorcyclist was flown to an area hospital in critical condition Saturday afternoon after colliding with a trailer that came unhitched from a truck.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers said around 4:30 p.m. a man on a motorcycle was heading west on I-80 in Parleys Canyon when a truck driving in front of him lost its trailer. According to troopers, the man did not have time to avoid the trailer and hit it, ejecting him from his bike.
The man was rushed to an area hospital with critical injuries. UHP had no information on the victim as of Friday afternoon.
The accident tied up traffic on I-80 for several hours.
