The Salt Lake Choral Artists will hold its second annual Summer Choral Institute beginning in June.
There will be four separate sessions covering Broadway show tunes, folk music from around the world, the requiems of Gabriel Faure and John Rutter and choral masterworks. The first three sessions will conclude with a concert open to the public.
Most of the sessions are intended for both high school age and adult singers. The folk music session (July 10-13) is also for children, while the choral masterworks session, which runs over four Tuesday evenings throughout the summer, is intended principally for adult singers.
Rehearsals take place in Libby Gardner Concert Hall, except for the children's choir, which will rehearse in the Madeleine Choir School.
