• Utah Valley National Day of Prayer at 7 p.m. at the Provo LDS Tabernacle, 100 S. University Ave., Provo. Services include speaker Mona Kashani Heern, the One Voice Children's Choir, Utah Valley Handbell Choir, Utah County Sheriff's Department color guard. • Utah Children's Choir Spring Concert, 7:30 p.m., Pleasant Grove Junior High. The concert will feature a selection of American folk songs as well as classical pieces by Schubert and Aaron Copland. Choir alumni will be invited to sing in. Cost: $5 at the door.

• Library Unplugged: Singer/songwriter Kenny Favero, 7 p.m., storytelling wing, Orem City Library, 58 N. State. Jazz, bluegrass, pop. Favero explores the variety, sounds and trends of acoustic music. Free.

• Literature Mind Marathon: Representing the Author and Artist in Movies, at 7 p.m., media auditorium at the Orem City Library, 58 N. State. Film scholar Dean Duncan will explore how Hollywood chooses to depict authors and artists. Free.

• City of the Celts: Utah Premiere Brass in concert, 7:30 p.m. at the Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W. Center, Provo. Cost: $7/$5 seniors, students; $15/family. Call 852-7007.

• "Something Broken 2," Mike Evans, sculptor, exhibit opens with a reception from 6-9 p.m. at the Covey Center for the Arts Art Gallery, 425 W. Center, Provo. Free.

• First Friday Gallery Stroll in downtown Provo from 6-9 p.m., kicks off the opening of the Sego Art Center, 169 N. University Ave. It also features a juried show at the Utah County Art Gallery with the New Horizons Orchestra. Begin at the Covey Center, 425 W. Center, and get directions. Free.
