Baby farm animals, bearded mountain men, train rides, pioneer crafts, puppet shows. There will be all that and more as This Is the Place Heritage Park kicks off its summer season.
Opening weekend takes place May 2-3, at the park, 2601 E. Sunnyside Ave. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for children and senior citizens. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Visitors will also notice changes to programming at the park, which will better utilize facilities and provide more options for fun and entertainment, according to executive director Matt Dahl.
