State park list
The largest island in the Great Salt Lake is home to roaming bison, pronghorn and bighorn sheep. Opportunities to view wildlife are available on backcountry trails, which are open to horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking and cross-country skiing.
Bear Lake Garden City
Lake is on the Utah-Idaho border. The cool, Caribbean-blue waters are ideal for waterskiing, swimming, scuba diving and sailing.
Coral Pink Sand Dunes Kanab
Acres of rust-colored sand, juniper and pinion pines and steep red cliffs. Great place for camping, photography, off-highway vehicle riding and playing in the sand. It is the only major sand dune field on the Colorado Plateau.
Dead Horse Point Moab
Rim towers 2,000 feet above the Colorado River. Provides breathtaking views of the canyon country of southeastern Utah and the pinnacles and buttes of Canyonlands National Park.
Deer Creek Midway
East Canyon Morgan
Great for summer boating and year-round fishing. The area is also locked in Utah history.
Escalante Petrified Forest Escalante
The park is 44 miles east of Bryce Canyon National Park. Hike along park nature trails through a petrified forest, camp along the shores of Wide Hollow Reservoir or rent a canoe and paddle on its clear waters.
Fremont Indian and Museum Sevier
See artifacts, petroglyphs and pictographs left behind by the Fremont Indians. Museum preserves treasures including pottery, baskets and arrowheads.
Goblin Valley Green River
See scores of intricately eroded sandstone creatures. Hike among intricately eroded rock formations in haunting coves. Off-highway vehicle users will find hundreds of miles of dirt roads to explore nearby.
Goosenecks Blanding
Offers a spectacular view of amazing and rare geologic formation, known as an entrenched meander.
Green River Green River
Relaxing park and a nine-hole golf course on the banks of the Green River.
