"It's an important feature of City Hall," Love said. "We want to aggressively do the things recommended in the audit."

Previous changes inspired by an early draft of the Citygate audit included the dismissal of George Shaw as the city's planning director in March. Shaw has since been hired by South Jordan.

The Buzz Center also was announced in March, along with the addition of an ordinance review and resolution work group, a long-range planning and complex projects work group and a simplified organizational chart to expedite planning decisions. A leadership team appointed by Becker has been directing the department since Shaw's departure.

Searches are under way to replace Shaw and Luis Zunguze, who was not retained as the city's director of community development when Becker took office in January. The city also has contracted with a professional recruiting company to assist with the searches.
