How to deal with the beetle infestation

Reminders for those in the affected area:

• Leave a 5-foot grass-free zone around your garden

• Do not overwater. Beetles like laying eggs in damp soil

• Do not aerate your lawn

• Lawn care providers working in the affected area must thoroughly clean equipment to avoid transferring contaminated soil or grass to a non-infected area.

• Keep plants healthy by following recommended watering and fertilization schedules.
