FARMINGTON The Davis County Sheriff's Office is honoring its emergency dispatchers as part of National Telecommunicator Week.
"Throughout the week, treats and gifts of appreciation will be delivered to express appreciation for our dispatchers who work around the clock, all year long, to support their officers in the field and keep the public safe," the Davis County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
The sheriff's office named Dee Bird, a 20-year veteran, as its dispatcher of the year. National Telecommunicator Week is held April 13-19.
