TUCSON, Ariz. The Salt Lake Bees used a pair of three-run home runs in the late innings for a 9-7 come-from-behind win over the Tucson Sidewinders on Tuesday.
Kendry Morales belted his in the eighth inning off Connor Robertson to give the Bees a 6-5 lead and Sean Rodriguez hit his in the ninth to extend the lead to 9-5. Tim Raines Jr. hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to pull Tucson to within two, but Rafael Rodriguez (1-0) struck out Javier Brito to end the game.
Rodriguez led the Bees with two hits and three RBIs. He also scored from second base on a wild pitch by Randy Johnson in the second inning.
Terry Evans and Matt Brown also had two hits for the Bees, who tied a franchise with their sixth straight road win.
Johnson was making his second rehab start for the Sidewinders and went six innings allowing three runs on three hits with seven strikeouts and one walk. The Big Unit is on the mend from back surgery last August.
