The uninsured are:

• Four times less likely to have a regular source of medical care than the insured.

• 30 percent less likely to have an annual physical exam.

• Three times more likely to have problems obtaining needed medical care.

• Three times more likely to delay seeking medical care.

• Charged 2.5 times what insured patients are charged for hospital services.

• 25 percent more likely to die prematurely than adults with private health insurance.
